Local Government Engineering Department It is a village development such as construction of roads, culverts, bridges, government primary schools, UP parishads, construction of hat bazaars especially transformation of villages into cities. Work is underway on this goal.


The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) is one of the largest engineering institutes in the country. Although the rural development program was started in the 80's, its scope has widened over time. Starting from the remote areas of the country, LGED has a huge work force in the city limits.


 


The contribution that LGED has made in mobilizing the rural economy through road connectivity and development of hat-bazaars and growth centers in rural areas is visible today. The contribution of these infrastructures in achieving the growing growth of the country is immense. Today, the people of remote villages are getting the benefit of using paved roads within a maximum of two kilometers. These rural infrastructures are playing a huge role in improving the living standards of the people and alleviating poverty.
